I sit, Lotus on the Dune
As I sit, Lotus on the dune,
Life’s energies flow in the soft breeze around me.
Above me the sun gives way to the clouds, splashed cross the pale blue sky with a painter’s grace.
Collected around me are the tree drifters of old; their stories hidden within them, communicating with those who sit to listen.
The rocks caressed till smooth are peeking through the grass.
Footprints litter the sand, each with their own stories to share. Connecting to the spirits of old walking this land.
Keeping me enclosed is the ring of distant mountains, contemplating stillness while time moves around them.
Behind in the trees are little bursts of eager birds, while the ocean in front sings her lullaby to me.
The song she is singing to me captures my heart, freeing me to just be.
To just be me.
