CARLO CIRILLO ~ MY GRATEFUL LIFE
There are many amazing ways to live life with a grateful heart. This interview series ‘My Grateful Life’ explores the lives of people from all over the world who are incorporating an attitude of gratitude into their daily life. We all have our own way of doing things, and practising Gratitude is no different. I have been so inspired by their stories and the tools and tricks they use for living life with a positive mindset and daily gratitude.
So without further ado, I am honoured to introduce you to…
Tell us a little bit about yourself…
Former Semi Professional soccer player turned Lifestyle Entrepreneur. I grew up in a small town in Australia called Mildura. I was always the sporty kid and found myself immersed in the world of soccer. I move away in my teens as I played for my state and my country and ended up in Europe playing. While all this was happening I was online learning the craft of entrepreneurship and personal growth. After retiring from high level sport my focus switched to my passion for business and creating value. I have been involved in many businesses, including my own start ups and now my projects, content and podcast is focused on raising self awareness and consciousness in the world.
What does gratitude mean to you?
Gratitude to me is the highest form of love and appreciation. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. Perspective widens and appreciation for everything flows. You see things in a different light, see the benefits of it everything and how one thing can lead to another.. The unexpected into perfect timing & mistakes into important events. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns problems into gifts, Failures into success. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today & creates vision for tomorrow. I’ve found so much happiness from learning this habit and practising it daily.
Does Gratitude come easily to you? What problems/issues do you find can block you from expressing/feeling Gratitude?
Now it’s very easy and simple to do at anytime of the day and in any situation. But it is quite challenging at times.. especially in times were shit things happen, and that would just be the first reaction. But that’s where the big lessons are learnt along our journey and gratitude can shine light on them.
What is a story of a blessing in your life you can share with us?
A big turning point for me was having my agent let me go as a client and tell me to basically quit soccer as he didn’t think I could make it after a few trials. At the time this killed me inside as it was my one dream to play professionally and I had just left everything back in Australia, my long term relationship, my family, my secure well paying job and spent all my money to get there…. BUT I learnt the power of self belief and resilience. I found my way, found a place to live, created an online income and made a team. It also pushed me to pursue other passions which I am heavily involved in now!
Do you have any go-to trip or tricks to help you practise an attitude of Gratitude?

I am Beautifully Grateful for…
The people I have close to me in my life. The family and friends that support and love me endlessly. I feel safe, lovable and happy when around them. I know a lot of people don’t have their family or that kind of support. So by me having this amazing circle I am able to help others feel safe, supported and loved.
